Don’t know how it is You looked at me
And saw the person that I could be
Awakening my heart
Breaking through the dark
Suddenly Your grace
Like sunlight burning at midnight
Making my life something so
Beautiful, beautiful
Mercy reaching to save me
All that I need
You are so
Beautiful, beautiful
Now there’s a joy inside I can’t contain
But even perfect days can end in rain
And though it’s pouring down
I see You through the clouds
Shining on my face
Like sunlight burning at midnight
Making my life something so
Beautiful, beautiful
Mercy reaching to save me
All that I need
You are so
Beautiful, beautiful
I have come undone
But I have just begun
Changing by Your grace

(The "sunlight burning at midnight" lyric made me think of this picture that I took on the 4th of July last year :-))
What a perfect song for me right now. Everytime I turn around today, I seem to be reminded of my own failures and shortcomings. I feel like I can barely keep my head above the water. Or that I have way too many plates spinning right now, and they're all going to crash and shatter soon. Things in my life are falling through the cracks, I am upset with myself for things that I have messed up, and I just want a change. Thank goodness that the Lord can take this ugly situation, and turn it into something beautiful.
Because everything in my life feels so out of control, I've decided to take a week-long break from blogging. I won't be posting, I won't be reading blogs, and I won't be commenting until next Wednesday. I thought this would be the perfect thing to do for Easter week, so I can focus more on worshipping.
Not only will this be good because it will help me get things more together in my life, but it will also be good for my blog. I've had no inspiration lately, and I think my posts have been pretty lame. I think a week off will be good for the old blog. My blog and I are like a new couple who have been spending way too much time together, and we are sick of each other :-P
I did add a new layout and header today. I feel like this is more "me" than the old ones, and I am done doing my monthly makeovers. It's too much to worry about, and I actually like this better!
I will miss all of my fellow bloggers in the next seven days! I wonder if I will crack and sneak a peak at all of your blogs :-P I'm going to try not to, though, because I really need to step back and take a break for awhile.
Have a wonderful Easter!! Remember what Jesus did for you when He died on the cross. Let the next few days be full of worship!
And with that, I will be back in a week! (I will probably still be posting pictures in my project 365 blog, at least, so you can "see" me over there!) TTFN ;-)

I can completely understand needing a break. I pray that this next week goes well for you and that your break will give you time to rest and reflect on the things which are most important.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to having you back! :)
Happy Easter, and I hope the break is what you were needing!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to you coming back. . . but totally understand why you're taking a break! I have also been dealing with feeling overwhelmed at times and stuff 'falling through the cracks.' It's a perfect time to step back and focus on the Lord. Without that Rock in our life, everything is going to call apart.
ReplyDeleteI love that sunset picture! I hope that you have a great break and a great Easter!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter to you, too!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter enjoy your break! I know how you feel needing a break sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean - I've been considering taking a break from blogging myself. I hope you have a refreshing break, and hurry back soon! have a wonderful Resurrection Day! :-) The layout is so pretty, by the way!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely break! Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Hayley
