Closing This Chapter

These are pictures of my empty classroom that I took as I was cleaning it out yesterday.

I can't believe it, but I've made it to the very last day of the school year! This is my fourth year teaching at the school I'm at now, and every year seems to go by a little faster than the last.

Due to the changes that are about to happen in my life (still can't share them because they're not 100% worked out yet!) I won't be returning in the fall to the position I'm in now. This has been a very bittersweet thing for me. On one hand, the reason I'm leaving is because something very exciting is about to happen in my life (no, I'm not pregnant, so don't ask :-P haha). On the other hand, I've built such strong relationships with my co-workers and students, it's really hard to leave!

I have grown to fully love the school where I work! It has become a second home to me, and I've become really comfortable there. But sometimes being comfortable is not the best thing for a person, and that's why I'm moving on.

All that to say, this is going to be a weird day as I pack up everything from my classroom, and realize that I won't be coming back to that room again next year, teaching the same students and working with the same people. I've already found myself crying at odd times while at work just thinking about leaving.

But, in the end, it will all be worth it, and I completely feel that I'm going where God is leading me right now. I'm closing this chapter of my life, but a new, more exciting one is about to begin.

Stay tuned!

And before I leave, I finally updated my project 365 blog with all the pictures from April and May, so go check it out!

Also, I blogged over at My Twenties Blog today, all about my favorite vacation destination. You should probably check that out too ;-)
