Welcoming October

Confession: I love scary movies. And every October I really get in the mood to watch them! Since It's almost October, and because I have nothing better to write about today, I thought I'd dedicate this post to horror movies!

1. Wait Until Dark (I love Audrey Hepburn!)

Okay, I think that's enough. I know most of you who are reading don't share my love of scary movies. I guess I like them because a little scare is fun to me, and it's something that Luke and I have in common! It's fun to watch them together :-) As long as I don't get too wrapped up in them, I don't think there's anything wrong with watching them. And I purposely stay away from the ones that I KNOW will terrify me (i.e. The Unborn, IT, Dead Silence...things that are supposed to be sweet and innocent that turn evil probably scare me more than anything else for some odd reason!)

So I'm sure Luke and I will be spending a lot of evenings next month cuddled up under a blanket watching scary movies together! I'll be the one hiding my eyes in a pillow!

  2. I get scared way too easily to watch them regularly. I think that's great you and Luke can enjoy watching them together :)

  3. The Invasion of the Body Snatchers is a classic, I watched it in a film class in high school! I don't like horror movies, but I can handle a scary every now and again. I've seen most that are on your top 10 list.

  4. Seriously, even the movies I saw on your over-rated list scared me to death! You are brave. I'm such a weenie. Although, I expect my weenie-dom will make a good post sometime soon. At least something is bloggable about of my chicken-hood.

  5. Amityille Horror is on my too-scary-to-watch-again list too! I was fine during Hide and Seek, but Amityville gave me a mild panic attack. Whew. I'm sweating a little just thinking about it! Haha. Our group should have a scary-movie party sometime this month! :-)

  7. I've seen a few of those. I'm not a lover of scary movies but I enjoy one every now and then. My husband is a different story though - he absolutely hates them and refuses to watch them with me.

  8. The only one of those I've seen is Jaws, but that's because it is more of a tense movie to me, rather than horrifying. I'm not much into "horror" movies, but I don't mind tense movies - like Signs or The Village. But those are in a totally different class from the movies you listed!

  9. Oh...When A Stranger Calls scared the living daylights out of me.

  10. My father-in-law LOVES The Birds. It's is his all time favorite movie, although I can't say it's all that scary once you've seen it 80 times. He even suggests we name our first born after the main characters: either Mitch or Melanie.
Also, you might like "The Duel." It's older (maybe from the 70s) but very suspenseful.
