Christmas Cookie Day

On Saturday I spent the day with my mother-in-law and two sisters-in-law baking and decorating cookies from 9:30 until about 4. We made dozens and dozens! We made:

red velvet cookies

pecan tarts

Peanut butter blossoms (you can kind of see that one hiding down there)

And of course, cutout cookies!

...I mean, LOT'S of cutout cookies:

Here are some close-ups of cute ones. Obviously, the gingerbread people are the most fun to decorate...

Di made this adorable Santa Claus gingerbread man. He's so cute!
This is supposed to be me and Luke...he's growing his beard right now for Colorado (he's leaving the day after Christmas) and this was to poke fun at it a little bit

I made 2 football players: an Ohio State player, and a Browns player (Peyton Hillis) as gingerbread people. For Luke, of course
We made lots and lots of Christmas trees

And snowmen

And stockings

By the end of the day, we were exhausted, and we didn't want to have to look at another cookie! Haha...but it was a fun day, and I think we made some cute creations :-)

And here are the three "artists"
Me, Maria, and Diana

It was definitely a day to get me into the Christmas spirit! We had a cookie-baking day last year, and I hope we do it again next year, too!
