Week in Review

Sunday 10/31 - I spent Halloween doing completely un-Halloweenish things. But that's okay, because I was definitely thanking myself later for not watching scary movies, and consequently not being too scared to sleep! Haha...Luke and I went to church and then out to lunch at Jalisco's again. The rest of the afternoon included some fabulous things like hot apple cider, lots of time spent enjoying my Instant Queue on Netflix, and hours of cuddle time with my cats. It also included some non-fabulous things like cleaning and doing lots of laundry. I love Sundays, fabulous and non-fabulous things included! :-)

Monday 11/1 - Work was insane on Monday for various reasons. And when I got home, I went into some sort of nesting mode because I knew that Luke was having surgery the next day and would be staying home from work for a few days after that. I made homemade lasagna for dinner, and did laundry and straightened up the house for the rest of the evening.

Tuesday 11/2 - We got up bright and early for Luke's surgery. Actually, it was DARK and early. And cold. We were at the hospital from 6-10, and the surgery went great! Luke came home to recover while I got his prescription filled at Walmart. Later we had a few visitors and I went out to vote! I spent the rest of the evening chilling at home with my poor invalid husband :-P Luckily his recovery was going pretty well!
Wednesday 11/3 - I woke up with a sore throat, and got more and more sick as the day went on! By the time I got home from work, I was achy, dizzy, and had terrible chills. I ended up having a somewhat high fever as well. Needless to say, Luke and I were a pretty pitiful pair that night. He laid in his recliner and I laid on the couch just about all evening. We watched reruns of 30 Rock for most of the evening. But mostly we slept. It was a miserable night.

Thursday 11/4 - I miraculously woke up on Thursday morning and my fever was all gone. I felt almost 100% better! So I enjoyed the day at work, came home, went into town to pick up a few things, and spent the night getting our house back together after the rough day we had on Wednesday!

Friday 11/5 - After work on Friday, Sarah came over to hang out for the evening. We did fun things like watch The Princess and the Frog, and give Sarah some tips on how to build muscle in her legs so she can do a ballet leg lift. I guess my two years of ballet in high school were good for something, at least. Ha!
Saturday 11/6 - This was my 26th birthday! I had a full day of shopping with my mom and sister, and then spending the evening with my family. A whole re-cap post will be coming your way tomorrow :-) But it was a great birthday, and I feel so blessed!
My cat's enjoyed the tissue paper from my gifts!!

Milestones this week
: Luke and I went through our (well, his) first real medical procedure together, and I turned 26.

Movies I watched this week: Princess and the Frog (B), Toy Story 3 (A)

Books I'm reading this week: The Bible (I Samuel. I read the story of David and Goliath this week, and let's just say there are some things in that story that they left out during Sunday School when I was little. WOW, is it ever violent and gruesome), Jurassic Park - Michael Crichton.

Songs I'm Loving this Week: Nothing really sticks out in my mind, so I'll just say ANY CHRISTMAS SONG! I'm officially letting myself listen to them since It's past my birthday :-)

Things I'm looking forward to next week: Not much is going on next week, so I'm looking forward to taking it easy!
