Week in Review

Highlights:

~ Luke and I went out to a nice lunch at Grinders on Sunday and spent the rest of the day relaxing. It was much-needed.

~On Monday I helped my sister move a bunch of her stuff out of her old apartment with her and my mom. Lunch at Friendly's and a shopping trip which involved an upscale puppy store, TJ Maxx, and World Market were also part of the day. So it was a good day! ...Until my Italian Soda exploded and spilled all over the back of my mom's van. ...And until I poured about two gallons of rainwater all over me as I was closing the trunk to the van after the monsoon hit :-P I seemed to be having pretty bad luck that day.~On Tuesday I spent the afternoon swimming with some lovely ladies plus two cute little babies. Always a good time.

~Thursday night, Kristin and I had a girls' night at her house. We made tacos and watched movies, and it was really fun! I didn't get home until about 2 AM (with the okay from Luke, of course), which never happens.

~Luke had two nights of softball games last week so we were busy going to those. They are always fun to watch (except Friday night when my s.i.l Maria and I got stuck basically baby-sitting a rambunctious three-year-old because her mom wasn't paying attention to her. Some people are rude. Not to mention, she should probably have been keeping an eye on her daughter for safety reasons! End rant). This week are tournaments, so if we keep winning, we should be extremely busy this week with games, too.

~Saturday we spent all day at Luke's grandparents' moving them from their old house to their new house, and helping his cousin and his wife move into his grandparents' old house. It was fun going through all kinds of old clothes, heirlooms, and jewelry from the family and hearing all the stories to go along with them :-)We were a little bit hot and sweaty :-P

~Saturday night, Luke and I wanted to hang out together and maybe have a date night. But we were so exhausted after moving day that we just ordered wings for dinner and then spent most of the evening asleep on the couch. We're old like that.

***

Movie's I watched: Scream 1 & 2 (I had never seen them before!), How Do You Know? and Tangled...for the third time :-P

Books I'm reading: Esther in the Bible, and slowly making my way through the 6th Harry Potter book. I seem to have hit a wall and lost a lot of momentum in my HP reading this week for some reason.

Songs I'm loving: Wild Horses by Natasha Beddingfield

Favorite picture:
I love this cute picture of Kristin's dog

Things I'm looking forward to next week: Heading to Akron to meet my adviser, finish up a few last-minute things for school, and have lunch with my sister; softball tournaments all week; working out more by swimming laps everyday; and a family reunion/picnic on Saturday.

  1. I love world market! I could spend way too much money there.
And relaxing girls nights are the best! I'm so glad you were able to have some fun :-)
