Oops

I had to delete my last post because apparently lots of people have been googling my photographer today, and have been finding my blog. Because her name was in the newspaper article I copied and pasted. I don't want to bad-mouth her, and I don't want to lead too many people to my blog for that reason, so I deleted that post.

If you didn't read it, my post talked about how my wedding photographer was arrested for stiffing 9 (now 12, we've found) couples out of their wedding photos, and we were one of those couples. I have to write a narrative statement about all of my contact with my photographer, and bring it to the police department tomorrow. Apparently, it looks like there is a good chance that I will at least get my photos on a CD as long as they still exist. So praise God!

Well I have to get to work on my statement. Ugh, it shouldn't be this much work to get my photos! Maybe they will be here in time for our 1 year anniversary a week from Sunday :-P

  2. What I don't understand is, why didn't she deliver the photos? This isn't a classic fraud case where someone takes money for a service and then doesn't provide the service. She already did that part, showed up and took the photos. All she had to do was hand the prints over. I just don't see her motivation (or lack thereof) to just not follow through and finish the jobs!

  3. Chandra, I don't know why either!! That's what's so mind-boggling about the whole thing. She did get divorced and blamed the fact that her husband had the computer. I think she was just lazy and irresponsible. She just kept promising the photos, and never followed through. UNLESS she lost all of the photos and thought she could avoid us forever. I'm still afraid of that. But it was 12 couples over the course of a year or a year and a half. So I just don't get it! I think her lawyer is going to light a fire under her butt so she sends everyone everything she was supposed to, so that she gets a lighter sentence! So unless she DID lose all of our photos, we should be getting all that she promised soon. Unless she really wants to go to jail.
