Week in Review:

Sunday 9/26 - Luke and I went to church like always. We came home to chill for awhile, and then I had a bridal shower to attend. It was beautiful! And so much fun to spend the afternoon with a bunch of ladies from church. After that, Luke and I went to his grandparents' house for pizza with the whole family. They invite us all over every year right before they leave for Arizona. (As a sidenote: Luke and I may be planning a long weekend out there to visit them this year in the winter or spring!) We came home, and I fell asleep super early. As in, 9:00 early.

Monday 9/27 - After work I was confined to the house while the Time Warner guy was here installing our new FAST internet! It meant I missed a dinner date with my mom and sister :-( But it also meant that we don't have slower-than-dial-up-speed internet anymore. So I guess it was an okay trade-off. Later, I went to church to see Jared Hall (A Christian illusionist who is also very funny) perform. Luke's band played. I came home and fell asleep super early.

Tuesday 9/28 - I went grocery shopping as soon as I got home from work and came home and made snacks for our connect group, and also dinner for Luke and I. I was busy up until the minute I had to leave for connect group. Our group was great again, and I got so much out of it. I'm loving this group and the content we are studying! I came home afterwards and fell asleep super early. See a pattern? :-P
Wednesday 9/29 - I went to the church after work to take more pictures of the building progress for the church blog. It is looking great, and it is amazing how quickly progress is being made! I came home, made and ate dinner, and then headed back to the church to see Jared Hall again. It was a great show, just like Monday night! Afterwards, we went out with a bunch of friends to Applebees for appetizers. Jared Hall came with us, so that was kind of cool! I got home entirely too late and immediately fell asleep.
Thursday 9/30 - I visited my grandma after work, because it had been far too long since I had seen her! Then Sarah came over. We made a ton of cut-out cookies, to be decorated later. Then we chilled out and watched The Office.

Friday 10/1 - After work, I felt like I was able to relax and not have to worry about anything for the first time since last Saturday! It really was a crazy week. After dinner, Luke and I headed out to the movie theater to see Social Network. It was an okay movie, but kind of long and anticlimactic.

Saturday 10/2 - I woke up EARLY to head out to town and get some last-minute things for cookie-decorating. Then Sarah came over, and we frosted and decorated about 5 dozen cookies. We had so much fun, and got to the point where we were laughing so hard we were crying and couldn't breathe. This seems to happen every time we get together. Later, I went out shopping with my mom and sister all afternoon and evening. We ate dinner together at Panera, and it was just the perfect day!

Milestones this week: I didn't lose my mind during one of the busiest weeks I've had in a long time! On top of that, I didn't let my house fall apart, and kept the dishes and laundry pretty much all caught up! I feel like I'm finally getting the hang out this whole housekeeping thing after about 26 months of being married! :-P

Movies I watched this week: Social Network (C), The Princess and the Frog (B)

Books I'm reading this week: The Bible (finished Judges, and now I'm reading Ruth), and got back into reading This Present Darkness by Frank Peretti a little bit again. I should finish it by next weekend, hopefully!

Songs I'm loving this week: Hanging On - Britt Nicole, You're Not Alone - Meredith Andrews

Things I'm looking forward to next week: Hopefully having a little more spare time than last week!
