A New Perspective

This first full week of opening my eyes to the things around me has been amazing. It has surprised me as I am finding so much more joy in the everyday blessings of life. My attitude of entitlement is slowly decreasing, and I can't wait to see what God continues to do in the coming weeks and months.

The count continues:

6. New blanket of snow

7. Football game days with friends

8. A warm house during a snowstorm

9. God's promises

10. Hot soup on a freezing cold day

11. Ellie, purring in my lap
12. Lazy days before school starts again

13. Lighting my favorite candle in the evening

14. Hot chocolate to warm me through, after shoveling snow

15. House smelling like heaven when I walk in the door after work because supper's been cooking in the crockpot all day.

16. New recipe success

17. Empty laundry baskets

18. Long, hot showers full of deep thoughts

19. Warm day in January

20. Growing Amaryllis

21. Sunshine

22. Soft lips

23. Clean sheets day

24. A breakfast date

25. Hard-working husband

26. Sunday afternoon naps

  4. I love that you have snow! Soup and Hot Chocolate taste so much better with snow. My boys asked when I was going to make my special hot chocolate - and I said, "When the big snow comes."

I love finding God's special gifts He leaves for me throughout the day:)
